For those that follow my blog, you’ll notice that it has been some time since I last posted here. It’s been a crazy 6 months for me. In these past months, I have changed companies, changed a great deal about my personal life, changed changed changed changed. Finally, I’m getting a moment to sit down, chill out a bit, and get back to writing and blogging.
So, what has happened? Well, let’s see…..
- Left RedHat and took a role at Microsoft. Really excited about this! Yes, I will explain why in a write up. To be clear, I still have a lot of love for RedHat and its a great place to be. But, I also have a lot of love for Microsoft too.
- Traded in the Jeep and bought a Volvo, experienced problems with the Volvo. Solved problems with the Volvo. Finally started to love my Volvo… (Finally)
- Various personal life changes
- Retired Sheldon (Ebike prototype 1) and built a new e-bike. There is a write-up coming for this.
- Wound down my on-premise lab, made various changes to it, getting ready to sell most of it.
- Preparations to leave my covid isolation bubble and spruce myself up / prepare to deal with the outside world again.
- Started getting serious about my hobbies. Making more videos. VR/AR. etc..
These will be my central themes going forward for a while. Just defining myself and learning to write again instead of obsessively charging forward towards the goal line. I need to take the super woman costume off and chill a bit.
Couple of things:
- For those just here for my RedHat code and openshift platform stuff, I lost the damn SSH keys to my old github acct. Had to have GH blow it up and renew my account from ground zero. I’ll push up local copies of the old repos at some point. Lessons learned re: better SSH key management.
- There is a new permissions model coming to this site soon. More to follow. You know if this applies to you. Curse you, trolls!!
